None on Record: Stories of Queer Africa is a sound documentary project that collects the stories of queer, lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgendered (QLGBT) Africans from the African Continent and the Diaspora. None on Record adds to the growing histories told by QLGBT Africans all over the world. QLGBT Africans are everywhere—within the neighborhoods of Dakar, Toronto, Nairobi, New York City and London and in the small towns and villages of African countries.
Just Back From Johannesburg!
In the Fall of 2007, None on Record's production crew traveled to Johnnesburg, South Africa to collect stories from QLGBT South Africans living in Joburg and Soweto. To listen to an interview just click on the interviews link.
The None on Record Anthology
None on Record is calling for submissions to it's upcoming anthology, None on Record: Stories of Queer Africa.
We invite QLGBT Africans to submit original, unpublished essays, poems,
short stories, plays, creative non-fiction, and visual art. We're
looking for work that explores the lives of QLGBT Africans and how your
experiences have shaped you emotionally, politically, socially, and
culturally.
